RSVP improves the lives of vulnerable populations in the community by focusing on education and wellness and by supporting nonprofits through skill-based volunteer programs. RSVP programs directly serve over 11,000 local residents each year. Programs are monitored and measured using surveys to ensure that efforts are meaningful for volunteers and yield positive results. More than 1,200 volunteers take on roles to help community members with literacy, mentoring, delivering warm meals, free Medicare counseling, transporting low-income seniors to medical appointments, virtual math tutoring, STEM career presentations and by assisting local nonprofits.
Assignments are available to volunteers to take on roles throughout Montgomery, Delaware, Chester counties and parts of Philadelphia. Volunteers choose their assignment and RSVP staff helps them succeed.
