MAX Association's mission is to assist the human service provider community to achieve excellence in the provision of supports and services.
Today more than ever it is important to have a strong local providers association. Managed care, changing trends, proposed legislation, philosophical shifts and funding issues promise a challenging future. A good providers association can be very helpful in keeping you informed and assist in tackling issues that might be risky or time consuming for your organization to address. MAX has been in existence since 1993 and has provided a valuable service for over 40 organizations in Montgomery County. Now proud to be a Southeastern Regional Provider Association, we have expanded to include members in Bucks, Chester, Delaware and Montgomery Counties. We would like to extend an invitation to you and your organization to become members of the MAX association.
Since 1951, MHASP is a leader regionally, statewide and nationally in transforming mental health services to become more responsive to the priorities of individuals with mental health challenges and their family members. Our history is a robust story of creating opportunities for individuals and family members to experience hope and overcome the challenges imposed by mental health conditions. We are dedicated to innovating new service approaches, reducing discrimination, restoring hope and self-esteem, and creating the circumstances for individuals to improve their lives.
Montgomery County Community College is a place where the future is created, a place where desire and knowledge are combined to yield opportunity. The College is a reflection and a response to the needs and aspirations of those who live, work, and conduct business in Montgomery County and beyond. Grounded in a set of values that teach us to encourage, listen, respect, and treat fairly those whom we serve, those with whom we work, and those who work with us in service, the College strives to ensure that all residents of Montgomery County have access to the highest quality and most affordable higher education possible. The Montgomery County Foundation is a non-governmental, non-profit community organization whose purpose is to help donors achieve their philanthropic ideals.
Our Vision is to be a recognized leader and catalyst in philanthropic matters for Montgomery County by serving as a resource for donors, charitable non-profit agencies and the general public through a proactive program of asset growth, management and distribution of funds that reflect the unique knowledge of a commitment to the Community.
For over 50 years, Montgomery Early Learning Centers' (MELC) mission has been to develop, provide, and advocate for high quality early childhood education, school age programs and related services in support of all children.
MELC programs offer a safe and nurturing environment, qualified staff, and age appropriate curriculum to encourage learning, development, and growth during the most important years of a child's life. Since our inception, our commitment to excellence is nationally recognized by multiple agencies including: NAEYC (National Association for the Education of Young Children), NAA (National Afterschool Association) and COA (Council on Accreditation). In addition, all of our early childhood and school age centers have achieved at least a STAR 3 rating (out of 4) in Pennsylvania's Keystone STARS program. This program rates quality based on staff education, learning environment, leadership and management, and family and community partnerships.
NAMI PA, Montgomery County is one of more than 1,100 affiliates of the National Alliance on Mental Illness, known by its acronym NAMI. With some 200,000 members, NAMI is the nation's largest grassroots, volunteer organization dedicated to improving the lives of people with severe mental illnesses through advocacy and education efforts. We understand that mental illness deeply affects whole families; not just the person with an illness.
NAMI Montgomery County is a grass-roots education, support and advocacy organization that was founded in 1979. Our mission; improve the quality of life for those affected by mental illness through support, education and advocacy. Together with our national organization and state affiliate, we offer educational programs, support groups and phone support. We continue to advocate for better services, legislative changes, and increased research on mental illnesses.
Working collaboratively, the North Penn School District will provide an effective, innovative, student-focused community of teaching and learning where students will:
- Become independent, adaptable, life-long learners who transfer understanding to new applications;
- Exhibit creative and critical thinking;
- Achieve at the proficient or greater level in all academic areas;
- Adapt to a changing technological world; and
- Transition from competent student to productive, responsible citizen of the global society.
The mission of the North Penn YMCA is to make the community we serve a better place to live. Through programs and activities, we strive to enrich and strengthen families; provide wholesome, supervised recreation; offer positive learning, leadership and character development opportunities; and promote wellness for all people, regardless of ability to pay.
The Open Link remains committed to building a stronger UPV community by delivering on programs that help all our neighbors to flourish. Not only have we continued all the programs from both organizations, we are building on this strength creating new synergies.
We leverage our small staff with >300 volunteers to deliver programs in three areas:
- Community Services (financial and employment counseling and assistance, domestic violence court accompaniment, medically necessary transport, holiday programs)
- Food and Nutrition (Meals on Wheels, community food cupboard, community lunches)
- Adult Education (GED preparation, health and wellness, lifelong learning)
The Partnership TMA (Transportation Management Association) is a non-profit 501c3 organization which works with local businesses, municipalities, school districts and other non-profit organizations to help reduce traffic congestion, increase mobility and access to work and educate children and adults on the issues of land use, transportation, the environment and healthy lifestyles.
The PTMA receives funding from a variety of sources including PennDOT, the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission, membership dues, in-kind contributions and payment for services rendered.
