||Family Services Seeks Teacher/Youth Prevention Program Facilitator (Part-time)

We have a part- time position available for a highly self-motivated individual who can also function effectively in a team environment. You will have the opportunity to use your communication, teaching, facilitation and organizational skills serving as a Youth Program Facilitator working within the Norristown school district in Montgomery County, PA . We are looking for a person who can engage and connect with middle school youth to implement the Positive Action program, which is designed to reduce youth alcohol and drug use by emphasizing the importance of building socio-emotional skills.
Youth Prevention Program Facilitator
The Youth Prevention Program Facilitator is a part-time position. Primary responsibilities include facilitating a national model prevention curriculum for afterschool groups of middle school students and engaging families in learning about socio-emotional health. Experience working with urban youth is strongly preferred.
This position is primarily afternoon hours with occasional attendance at evening events required. A Bachelor's degree in Education or Social Work (or related field) is preferred. Other relevant experience working with youth will be considered. Candidates must possess classroom management, organizational, and basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Access).
